Would you like to spend your holiday with us and book your hotel in Gurgl? You can find all the booking terms and conditions for a stay at our family-run Hotel Mathiesn in the centre of Obergurgl in Tyrol here.
Check-in is available from 2.00 pm; check-out is by 11.00 am. Earlier arrival or later departure can be arranged on request.
Free parking is available directly in front of the hotel (limited number of spaces). Garage spaces are available opposite the hotel for an additional charge of €15 per day.
The visitor's tax is €5 per person per day and is not included in the room rate.
Included in winter: breakfast buffet, 5-course evening meal, use of the wellness area, wellness bag, Wi-Fi and car park.
Included in summer: breakfast buffet, wellness area on request, Wi-Fi, car park and Summer Card.

Breakfast is served daily from 07:30 to 10:00.
We serve dinner from 18:30 to 20:00.
Our wellness area is open daily from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The sauna area includes a nude section (access for those aged 16 and over).
A spa bag containing a bathrobe and slippers will be waiting for you in your room – everything is ready for your first visit to the spa area. Sauna towels are available for you to use in the sauna area itself.
Our ‘Seenplatte’ double room is partially accessible. If required, please feel free to contact our team in advance to enquire about the exact facilities and availability.
We regret that we are currently unable to accommodate pets in our house.
We know that, despite all the excitement, something can always come up at short notice. To ensure you can plan your holiday in Obergurgl with peace of mind, we keep our cancellation policy clear and transparent.
Cancellation policy in accordance with Austrian hotel regulations
- Up to 60 days before arrival: no cancellation fee
- If cancelled within 60 days of arrival: 30% of the total price
- If cancelled within 30 days of arrival: 50% of the total price
- If cancelled within 14 days of arrival: 70% of the total price
- If cancelled within 7 days of arrival, in the event of late arrival or early departure: 90% of the booked room rate
We know from experience that even the best planning cannot always protect against unforeseen events. To avoid costs and hassle in the event of a cancellation, early departure or an emergency, we recommend taking out travel insurance.
Hotel cancellation insurance covers, amongst other things, cancellation, early departure and mountain rescue (including helicopter rescue). We’d be happy to advise you on the most suitable options when you make your enquiry.
